Qualifications (mandatory):

  • Registered and licensed to practice in the province of Alberta and the City of Edmonton. Must be in good standing with your applicable association.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathologies related to complex care and sports injuries.
  • Strong assessment skills to identify individual client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of client care, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Motivated to work as part of a collaborative team of registered acupuncturists, naturopaths, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and more.
  • Able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, punctual, professional, and client-focused.
  • Dedication to patient success.
  • Current CPR certification.

Qualifications (preferred):

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing massage therapy and manual osteopathic treatments, with a focus on complex care and sports medicine.
  • Proficiency in deep tissue massage, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and other relevant techniques.
  • Existing patient panel.

Requirements:

  • Provide therapeutic massage and manual osteopathic treatments to clients, specializing in complex care and sports-related conditions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients’ specific needs, medical history, and treatment goals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique requirements, incorporating deep tissue massage, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and other modalities as appropriate.
  • Utilize a variety of techniques to address soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal imbalances, chronic pain, and mobility issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, and sports medicine specialists, to ensure coordinated and integrated care for clients.
  • Educate clients on self-care techniques, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment exercises.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in complex care and sports medicine to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Ensuring adequate clean laundry supplies.
  • Responsible for cleaning equipment after each use.
  • Responsible for maintaining general clinic cleanliness.
