Your body isn’t broken – it’s out of balance.
Your body is designed to thrive, but when your hormones are out of balance, it can feel like everything is falling apart. Hormones are the body’s control center, influencing your mood, energy, sleep, metabolism, and so much more. When they shift or decline, it’s not a sign that your body is failing — it’s a signal that it needs support.
As you age, hormonal changes are inevitable. These shifts often begin in your mid-20s, with more noticeable effects emerging in your 30s, 40s, and beyond. For some, these changes may be subtle, while for others, they can dramatically affect their quality of life.
Common signs of hormonal imbalance include:
- Anxiety and depression: Feeling overwhelmed, irritable, or persistently low without explanation.
- Mood swings: Unpredictable emotional shifts that impact relationships and daily life.
- Fatigue: A constant sense of exhaustion, even after a full night’s rest.
- Insomnia: Difficulty falling or staying asleep, disrupting energy and focus.
- Low libido: A decline in sexual interest or satisfaction.
- Hot flashes and night sweats: Sudden heat or sweating episodes that interrupt life or sleep.
- Weight changes: Struggling with weight gain or loss despite lifestyle efforts.
- Brain fog: Trouble concentrating, remembering, or making decisions.
At Red Leaf Wellness, we don’t see these symptoms as a “normal part of aging.” We see them as your body asking for balance. Our personalized, integrative approach identifies the root causes of these symptoms and provides tailored solutions to help you feel like yourself again.
Your body isn’t broken. We will help you restore balance and unlock your full potential for health and vitality.

Your Hormone Health Team:
Dr.Ac Lalonde 🇬🇧
“As a clinician and leader, I see myself not only as a caregiver but also as a teacher—empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take charge of their health. By educating and guiding them, I can help transform their lives far beyond the treatment room, creating lasting wellness that they can carry with them. – Dr. Tammy Lalonde”
Caring for people is my true passion and one of life’s greatest callings. With years of experience as both a Paramedic and Acupuncturist, I’ve supported patients through obvious and invisible injuries alike. I’ve been there during moments of deep crisis—whether delivering babies in cars parked roadside, providing care at 30,000 feet aboard a domestic flight, or flying emergency medevacs over the Arabian desert. Through these experiences, I’ve learned not only how to care for those in urgent need but also how to recognize the long-term impact that lifestyle, diet, and fitness can have on overall health.
As my career has evolved, so has my focus. I now concentrate on helping more people earlier, preventing minor concerns from escalating into more complex and costly illnesses. A key part of this shift is my role in leading our Hormone Health program, which empowers patients to address hormonal imbalances that affect energy, mood, and overall well-being. This program has far-reaching impacts, not only improving individual lives but also strengthening the health of entire communities. By helping people regain balance, we’re preventing chronic diseases and fostering long-term wellness. Through a combination of my background in emergency medicine and women’s health, I offer a unique, integrative approach. I draw on the strengths of oriental medicine, along with the expertise of top practitioners, to deliver care that restores balance to the body, mind, and spirit.
My academic journey has allowed me to seamlessly blend oriental medicine with Western healthcare, creating a holistic approach to patient care. My expertise lies in navigating high-stress, complex situations, and I have a deep passion for managing care and treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD—especially among Armed Forces and Emergency Services personnel. In addition to my extensive background, I have advanced training in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) through Worldlink Medical, which enhances my ability to help patients achieve hormonal balance and long-term wellness. With a long-standing career spanning North America and the Middle East, I have been privileged to serve as a respected clinician, clinical educator, and fire and emergency medical dispatcher. I hold active licensure and registration with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA), the California Acupuncture Board, and the Alberta Herbalists Association (AHA). Additionally, I have served as a Board Director with the Alberta Pain Society and am a current member of the CAA Competence Committee.

Our team also works behind the scenes to review lab results, manage your treatment, and ensure seamless, integrated care.

Lab Instructions
We will send your blood requisition within 1-3 business days following acceptance into our program. For your convenience, we have provided the following lab booking options where you can schedule your tests. Please ensure that you bring your lab requisition form, your provincial health number, and a valid ID to your appointment. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our clinic.
Please note that lab tests through each private lab may have unique/specific requirements. In the absence of direction from the labs we prefer:
- Testosterone Testing: For the most accurate results, book your appointment between 7:00–10:00 AM. We recommend scheduling no later than 9:30 AM to avoid delays if the lab is busy.
- Fasting Requirements: For our Foundation Hormone Lab Panel, fasting is typically not required. However, if you are having supplemental markers tested, including but not limited to lipid panels, cortisol levels, insulin, glucose, comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), renal function tests, iron studies, or certain vitamin levels, fasting may be required. We recommend fasting for 2 hours before your appointment, rather than the 8 hours specified by most labs, unless otherwise directed by your practitioner. For fasting insulin and glucose, however, fasting for 8+ hours is required to ensure accurate results.
- Cortisol Levels: If you are having Cortisol levels checked, your lab work must be completed in the morning between 7:00–10:00 AM.
- Thyroid Testing: Discontinue your thyroid supplement medication 24-48 hours before your lab draw for accurate results.
- Hormone Medications:
- If you’re using testosterone cream, oral progesterone, or an estrogen patch, discontinue 24 hours prior to your lab draw.
- If you’ve had a recent testosterone injection, schedule your lab draw 4 days after the injection.
- Menstrual Cycle: If possible, schedule your lab draw 7 days before menstruation for hormone-related tests.
- In the event of any discrepancies between our instructions and those of the lab, please follow our instructions outlined above to ensure the most accurate test results for our team.
Common Side Effects
Starting hormone replacement therapy often involves an adjustment period as the body adapts to new hormone levels. During this time, patients may experience changes in mood, energy, or physical symptoms. These effects can vary and may take a few weeks to a few months to stabilize. Please read through this document to see if it addresses your concerns before reaching out – but let us know if you have any additional questions!
Progesterone Benefits: Progesterone plays an important role in brain function and is often called the ”feel-good hormone” because of its mood-enhancing and anti-depressant effects. Progesterone also improves sleep quality, and provides neuroprotection. It supports cardiovascular health and balances estrogen’s effects, reducing the risk of endometrial hyperplasia in women on estrogen therapy. Progesterone can also help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and support colon health, and it’s a very important hormone in the maintenance of strong bones. Progesterone is breast cancer protective, and helps with vasomotor symptoms.
Avoid Progesterone if: you have active liver disease or active breast cancer.
What to Watch For / How to Mitigate:
- Breast tenderness, breast swelling, nipple itching, nipple pain
- Take tablets every 2nd day for one week, then try daily again. This should improve after one month.
- Morning drowsiness
- Improves after 1 month. If not, there are other forms of progesterone we can try!
- Bloating and nausea
- Insert the tab vaginally/ rectally x1-2 weeks, then try orally again.
- Wear a liner if inserting vaginally as some oil can leak out. Rectally absorbs better.
- Water retention
- Improves after 2 months. If not we can try a medication to help.
- If you are cycling, periods can be more irregular
- This will improve after 6-9 months of consistent use
- Weight gain
- This is water retention, not fat gain.
Testosterone Benefits: Testosterone enhances mood, energy, muscle strength, and libido. It supports heart health by improving muscle function (including heart muscle), and can positively impact cholesterol. It also aids bone density, reducing osteoporosis risk, and offers neuroprotective effects that may lower dementia risk. Can help reverse insulin resistance.
Avoid Testosterone if: you have active liver disease, active breast cancer, active endometrial cancer, plan to get pregnant, or are breastfeeding. If using the cream, no contact with pregnant women where the cream has been applied for 6 hours.
What to Watch For / How to Mitigate:
- Increased anxiety during initial use
- Titrate up over 1 month.
- Anger, irritability, rage, decreased inhibition, behaviour unpredictability lasting longer than 2 weeks
- Stop testosterone and inform your NP.
- Facial hair growth
- A sign of insulin resistance – not from the testosterone itself. Unless extreme supra-therapeutic levels. You need more blood work.
- Clitoral growth
- Known side effect at higher levels
Estradiol Benefits: Estradiol supports heart health by improving blood vessel function and balancing cholesterol levels, raising HDL and lowering LDL. It offers neuroprotective benefits that can reduce the risk of dementia. Estradiol also has a protective effect against colon cancer, coronary artery disease, and osteoporosis. Estradiol is also very effective for the symptomatic relief of hot flashes and genitourinary symptoms.
Avoid Estradiol if: you have active liver disease, active breast cancer, active endometrial cancer, post-menopausal vaginal bleeding that has not been investigated, thromboembolic disorder, or an active blood clot. Caution in smoking and previous estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer.
What to Watch For / How to Mitigate:
- Breast tenderness
- This will improve after 1 month
- Vaginal spotting
- This will improve after 1 month. If not, or if bleeding is heavy, stop estrogen and ask your family MD for a pelvic ultrasound.
- Weight gain
- With adequate blood levels, estradiol will help with weight loss. This is temporary.
- Acne
- This will improve by 3 months
- Headaches
- Will improve with adequate blood levels

Many commonly prescribed bioidentical hormones, such as Estrace (estrogen) and Prometrium (progesterone), are produced by drug companies and are approved and regulated by Health Canada. These products have undergone rigorous testing to ensure they meet safety, efficacy, and quality standards.
In addition, specialized compounding pharmacies can prepare custom-made bioidentical hormone formulations based on a healthcare provider’s prescription. These compounded formulations are tailored to meet individual patient needs and may come in various forms, such as capsules, creams, gels, tablets, suppositories, or nasal sprays.
While the individual ingredients used in compounded bioidentical hormones are approved by Health Canada and can be found in commercially available products, the specific compounded formulations are not directly approved or regulated by Health Canada. This is because the customized nature of these preparations, including their unique concentrations, makes it impractical for Health Canada to approve each individual formulation. Any hormone therapy we prescribe, whether Health Canada-approved or compounded, is always within the federal prescribing guidelines to ensure your safety and well-being.
It is important to note that compounded bioidentical hormones may vary in quality and consistency compared to Health Canada-approved products. However, reputable compounding pharmacies adhere to strict quality control measures and industry standards to ensure the safety and quality of their formulations.
Our healthcare providers work closely with patients to determine the most appropriate form of bioidentical hormone therapy based on individual needs, preferences, and medical history. We consider both Health Canada-approved products and custom-compounded formulations to develop personalized treatment plans that are safe and effective for each patient.
While there are no strict dietary restrictions, we may recommend certain dietary adjustments to support your hormone health and overall well-being. These recommendations often include:
- Reducing processed foods: Minimize consumption of highly processed items, added sugars, and refined carbohydrates, as they can disrupt hormone balance.
- Increasing healthy fats: Incorporate sources of healthy fats, such as avocados, nuts, seeds, and fatty fish, which are essential for hormone production.
- Focusing on whole foods: Opt for nutrient-dense, whole foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and whole grains to provide the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
Every individual’s needs are unique, and our team will work with you to create a personalized nutrition plan that aligns with your treatment goals. These dietary shifts can help optimize your results and enhance your overall health.
When beginning Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), it’s common to experience mild side effects as your body adjusts to the new hormone levels.
For a comprehensive list of common side effects and guidance on how to manage them, please refer to the Restore+ Hormone Health Program Patient Resource Manual available on our website.
If you encounter any side effects that persist or cause signifiant discomfort, it’s important to contact your Patient Care Coordinator immediately. You can reach them by phone or text at 1.780.900.9500 or via email at patientcarecoordinator@redleafwellness.ca. Our team will collaborate with your provider to address any issues and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
Your well-being is our top priority, and we’re here to support you throughout your BHRT journey.
The decision to stop taking bioidentical hormones is highly individualized and should be based on health status, symptoms, and personal preferences. Typically, women may continue BHRT as long as the benefits, such as relief from menopausal symptoms and improved quality of life, outweigh the risks. This decision is usually made through regular consultations with a healthcare provider who can assess ongoing needs and monitor for potential side effects. Some women may choose to continue BHRT well into their senior years, while others may decide to stop earlier. For residents of Edmonton, ongoing assessments and consultations can help tailor the duration of BHRT.
Absolutely! Your treatment plan is designed to be a collaborative effort between you and your provider. If you have concerns or feel the need to explore different options, it’s important to communicate these during your appointments.
Your feedback is invaluable in ensuring that your plan aligns with your goals and addresses your symptoms effectively. Whether it’s adjusting your dosage, exploring alternative therapies, or addressing new concerns, your provider is there to work with you to create a plan that fits your unique needs. Open communication is key to making your treatment as successful as possible.
While it may be tempting to stop BHRT once you start feeling better, it’s essential to continue your treatment as prescribed. Suddenly stopping BHRT can lead to a return or worsening of symptoms, as your hormone levels may become unbalanced again.
If you’re considering changes to your treatment, always consult your healthcare provider first. They can guide you on the safest approach, whether it’s tapering your dosage or exploring alternative strategies. Your provider will work with you to ensure any changes are made with your long-term health and well-being in mind.
Consistency and communication are key to maintaining the progress you’ve achieved and preventing setbacks.
In Alberta, naturopathic doctors (NDs) are not authorized to prescribe bioidentical hormones. Only licensed medical doctors (MDs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and other healthcare providers with prescribing authority can prescribe bioidentical hormones. However, having an integrative team at Red Leaf Wellness brings the best of both Eastern and Western medicine in support of whole body health. While NDs cannot prescribe BHRT, they play a crucial role in providing holistic and supportive care. Our unique combination of a functional medicine provider and a nurse practitioner ensures that you receive comprehensive care. This collaboration allows us to address not only your hormonal needs but also your overall well-being, creating a powerful and effective approach to health that very few BHRT providers offer. For more information, you can check Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Government of Alberta – Health Services.
Weight gain is not a common side effect of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT Edmonton). In fact, by balancing hormones, BHRT can help alleviate symptoms that might contribute to weight gain, such as fatigue, low metabolism, and insulin resistance. Some patients even report weight loss and improved body composition due to restored hormonal balance. However, individual responses can vary, and it’s important to monitor changes with a healthcare provider. Maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise is also crucial for managing weight during BHRT. For those considering BHRT Edmonton, regular consultations can help track and manage any weight-related changes.

Yes, you need a prescription for Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). A healthcare provider, such as a doctor or a nurse practitioner, must evaluate your hormone levels and overall health to determine the appropriate treatment plan. The prescription ensures that you receive the correct type and dosage of hormones tailored to your specific needs. For more information, visit the North American Menopause Society and WebMD.
To make the most of your follow-up appointments, it’s important to track any changes in your symptoms, mood, and energy levels. This information helps your provider assess your progress and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
Consider keeping a journal of your experiences, noting:
- Improvements or changes in symptoms
- Any new concerns or side effects
- Patterns in energy levels or mood fluctuations
Bringing these details to your appointment allows for a more thorough and personalized review of your progress. It also ensures that your treatment plan remains aligned with your goals and needs.
By staying proactive and organized, you’ll help your provider make the most accurate and effective recommendations for your ongoing care.
BHRT not only alleviates symptoms but also plays a vital role in supporting your long-term health. By addressing hormonal imbalances, BHRT can help reduce the risk of several chronic conditions, including:
- Osteoporosis: By supporting bone density, BHRT can lower the risk of fractures and bone loss.
- Cardiovascular disease: Balanced hormones can contribute to better heart health and reduce the risk of heart-related conditions.
- Cognitive decline: Hormonal balance may protect brain health and lower the risk of memory loss or cognitive impairments as you age.
Your provider will discuss the long-term benefits of BHRT as they relate to your unique health profile and goals. This individualized approach ensures that your treatment plan not only addresses current symptoms but also promotes overall wellness for years to come.
The duration of the program depends on your individual needs and goals. Some patients may achieve their desired results within a few months, while others may benefit from longer-term support to maintain balance and address evolving health priorities.
We will regularly assess your progress through follow-ups and ongoing communication, ensuring your plan is tailored to your unique journey. Our goal is to provide the level of support you need to achieve and sustain optimal hormone health for as long as it’s beneficial to you.
Your journey in the program is a collaborative process, and we’ll work with you every step of the way to adjust your plan based on your progress and changing needs.
Your first follow-up appointment is typically scheduled eight weeks after starting treatment, with blood work done around six weeks into your treatment plan. These initial steps allow your practitioner to evaluate how your body is responding and make any necessary adjustments.
Our goal is to stabilize your hormone levels initially, ensuring your symptoms improve and your treatment is effective. Once stability is achieved, we will work with you to responsibly extend the time between follow-up appointments to every three months, six months, and ideally, to annual check-ins.
It’s important to note that no two patient journeys are the same. Your follow-up schedule will be personalized to meet your unique needs and ensure the best possible outcomes. Staying consistent with follow-ups is key to maintaining long-term success in your hormone health journey.
You’ll know your treatments are working when you experience improvements in your symptoms, such as:
- Better sleep quality and duration
- Increased energy levels
- Stabilized mood and emotional well-being
- Enhanced libido and sexual health
These are common indicators that your BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy) is effective. Regular follow-ups with your provider are crucial to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
While many patients start noticing symptom relief within a few weeks, it’s important to understand that it can take up to three months to experience the full benefits. Every individual responds differently, so patience and consistency with your treatment plan are essential.
While Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) uses hormones that originate from natural plant sources, these hormones undergo extensive chemical processing to become identical to those produced by the human body. This processing allows the hormones to function effectively within the body, mimicking natural hormone activity. However, it’s important to understand that the term “natural” does not inherently guarantee the safety or efficacy of BHRT.
The bioidentical hormones used in BHRT Edmonton are designed to closely replicate the molecular structure of endogenous hormones, which can lead to better compatibility and fewer side effects for some patients. Despite their natural origins, the effectiveness and safety of BHRT depend on proper administration and monitoring by a qualified healthcare provider.
Patients considering BHRT Edmonton should have a thorough discussion with their healthcare provider to understand the benefits, risks, and suitability of bioidentical hormones for their specific health needs. This personalized approach ensures that the therapy is tailored to individual health profiles, maximizing the potential benefits while minimizing risks.

The average cost of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) can vary depending on several factors such as the specific hormones prescribed, the dosage, and the frequency of treatment. On average, BHRT costs range from $200 to $500 per month. This estimate includes the cost of consultations, lab tests, and the hormones themselves. It’s important to note that insurance coverage for BHRT can vary, so check with your provider to understand what is covered under your plan.
To enhance the effectiveness of your treatment and support overall well-being, consider prioritizing the following lifestyle changes:
- Balanced Nutrition: Focus on a diet rich in whole foods, lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Avoid processed foods and excessive sugar to help stabilize hormone levels.
- Regular Physical Activity: Incorporate a mix of strength training, cardiovascular exercises, and flexibility routines into your week. Movement supports hormone regulation, energy levels, and overall health.
- Stress Management: Practice techniques like mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to reduce stress, as elevated stress levels can disrupt hormonal balance.
- Adequate Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. A consistent sleep schedule helps regulate your body’s natural rhythms and supports hormone health.
Our team is here to provide personalized recommendations based on your specific needs and goals. These adjustments, combined with your treatment plan, create a strong foundation for lasting results.
The choice between traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) depends on individual health needs and preferences. BHRT uses hormones that are chemically identical to those the body produces, potentially leading to better tolerance and fewer side effects. Traditional HRT, on the other hand, uses synthetic hormones, which might not be as well tolerated by some individuals. Both therapies aim to alleviate symptoms of hormonal imbalance such as hot flashes, mood swings, and decreased libido. For personalized advice, it’s best to consult with a healthcare provider experienced in BHRT Edmonton.
Individuals with a history of hormone-sensitive cancers, blood clots, or liver disease may not be suitable candidates for Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). Those with untreated thyroid disorders, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, or severe liver dysfunction should also avoid BHRT. It is essential to consult with a healthcare provider to determine eligibility based on individual health conditions and medical history. Comprehensive evaluations ensure that BHRT Edmonton is both safe and effective for the patient.

While our BHRT program offers numerous benefits for many individuals, it is not suitable for everyone. You may not be a candidate for our BHRT program if:
- You have a history of hormone-sensitive cancers: Individuals with a history of breast, ovarian, uterine, or prostate cancer should avoid BHRT, as it may exacerbate these conditions.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding: Hormonal treatments can affect both the mother and the baby, making BHRT unsuitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- You have active liver disease: Hormonal therapies can impact liver function, so individuals with active liver disease should not participate in BHRT.
- You have untreated or uncontrolled endocrine disorders: Conditions such as untreated thyroid disorders or adrenal gland disorders need to be managed before considering BHRT. However, we are able to offer assistance in managing these endocrine disorders outside of our BHRT program. Once properly managed, it may be possible to enroll in BHRT therapy.
- You have a history of thromboembolic events: Those with a history of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or pulmonary embolism (PE) should avoid BHRT due to the increased risk of these conditions.
- You have severe cardiovascular disease: Individuals with severe heart conditions may not be suitable candidates for BHRT, as it can potentially exacerbate cardiovascular issues.
If you have any of these conditions or concerns, please consult with our team to explore alternative treatments that may be more appropriate for your health needs.
Traditional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has faced scrutiny due to potential risks, including an increased risk of breast cancer, blood clots, and heart disease. These risks were highlighted by studies such as the Women’s Health Initiative, which led to a decline in HRT use. However, recent research indicates that HRT can still be safe and effective for many women, particularly when started near menopause and used for the shortest duration necessary. It’s essential to weigh the risks and benefits with a healthcare provider to determine the best course of action, especially when considering options like BHRT in Edmonton.
Yes, many patients report improved energy levels and better sleep quality as their hormone levels stabilize. These enhancements are often among the first benefits noticed with BHRT, making a significant impact on overall well-being.
By addressing hormonal imbalances, BHRT can help regulate the body’s natural rhythms and processes, contributing to more restful sleep and sustained energy throughout the day. While individual results may vary, these improvements are a common and welcomed outcome for many undergoing treatment.
Your provider will monitor your progress to ensure these benefits are achieved and maintained as part of your personalized care plan.
Yes, adjustments to your BHRT dosage are often necessary as your treatment progresses. After your initial treatment, your provider will use follow-up blood work and regular consultations to monitor your body’s response. These assessments help ensure that your treatment plan is fine-tuned to your specific needs, maximizing its effectiveness.
Hormone levels can fluctuate over time, and it’s normal to make dosage changes as part of your care. Your provider will work closely with you to address any changes in your symptoms, ensuring that your treatment remains both safe and effective. Consistent communication and follow-ups are key to achieving the best outcomes.
The answer to this question depends on your specific provider and the coverage within your insurance policy.
Medical Services
Our Hormone Health Program includes services provided by licensed healthcare professionals, such as Nurse Practitioners and Naturopathic Doctors, which many insurance policies may cover. However, insurance policies vary significantly in terms of patient eligibility, provider eligibility, and coverage percentages for these types of services. Depending on your insurance provider’s guidelines, appointments with our team members may be eligible for reimbursement under categories like Nurse Practitioner or Naturopathic Medicine.
After each appointment, you will receive a detailed receipt outlining the services provided and the credentials of the provider who delivered your care. This receipt can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement based on the terms of your policy. While many insurance policies cover services included in our program, we cannot guarantee specific coverage, so it’s essential to confirm eligibility and coverage details directly with your insurance provider.
If some services are not covered under your insurance plan, they may still be eligible for reimbursement through a Health Spending Account (HSA), which allows you to claim various health-related expenses.
Please keep in mind that we cannot falsify or alter receipts to change the service classification under a different modality for insurance purposes. Falsifying receipt details is considered insurance fraud. If you plan to use insurance for a specific discipline, let us know before your appointment so we can ensure the appropriate clinician is assigned from the outset. Our team will work with you to provide accurate documentation aligned with your needs and the requirements of your insurance provider.
Supplements
The supplements recommended in our hormone health program, such as Black Cohosh, Red Clover, Dong Quai, Ginseng, Fem-Matrix, and various Symphony Natural Health products, are generally not covered by insurance plans. HSAs and FSAs allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for qualifying medical expenses, which can include certain supplements. Check with your HSA or FSA administrator to confirm that the supplements recommended in our program are eligible expenses.
Some of the key supplements we may recommend include:
- Black Cohosh: Known to alleviate hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings by mimicking the effects of estrogen.
